Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Work & Agreement Terms
All services, modifications, and craftsmanship provided by Camelo (henceforth “the Company”) are performed based on the specifications agreed upon with the Client.
- Oral Representations: No oral statements, verbal promises, or informal digital communications shall constitute a binding agreement or warranty.
- Written Exclusivity: Only specifications and guarantees documented in a signed “Final Build Sheet” executed by an authorized representative of Camelo shall be considered enforceable. All work performed is based on the specifications documented in the Final Build Sheet agreed upon by both the Client and Camelo.
2. Timelines, Delays, and Force Majeure
The Client acknowledges that custom automotive conversion projects may be affected by supply chain availability, specialized labor scheduling, and parts procurement.
- Estimated Lead Times: Any projected completion dates or lead times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
- Timeline Adjustments: Camelo reserves the right to adjust timelines when necessary. Camelo will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client of any timeline adjustments.
- Third-Party Delays: Camelo shall not be held liable for delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, shipping issues, back-ordered components, or the availability of specialized labor.
- Payment Obligations: Production delays do not grant the Client the right to withhold milestone payments. Failure to pay according to the agreed schedule may result in suspension of work and loss of the Client’s reserved production slot.
3. Warranty Voidance & Structural Modifications
The Client understands that custom van conversion involves modifications that may alter the vehicle from its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
- Chassis & Frame Modifications: Any cutting, welding, or drilling into the vehicle structure is performed only as required for the agreed custom build. Camelo cannot guarantee structural outcomes beyond the scope of the build specifications.
- Electrical Systems: Integration of auxiliary power systems such as lithium batteries, solar systems, or custom wiring may affect original vehicle systems. Camelo is not responsible for failures caused by improper use, third-party modifications, or alterations made after the completion of the build.
- OEM Warranty Disclaimer: Vehicle manufacturers may void factory warranties after certain modifications. It is the Client’s responsibility to understand how modifications may affect the vehicle’s manufacturer warranty.
4. As-Is Delivery & Limitation of Liability
- As-Built Condition: All custom fabrication, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical installations are delivered as completed according to the agreed build specifications.
- No Additional Warranties: To the extent permitted by applicable law, Camelo disclaims implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose unless explicitly stated in writing.
- Maintenance Responsibility: The Client is responsible for maintaining the custom components and systems installed in the vehicle.
- Liability Limitation: In any event where Camelo is found legally liable, the total liability shall not exceed the total labor fees paid by the Client, excluding the cost of parts and materials.
5. Right to Retain Possession
Camelo maintains the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all outstanding invoices, including additional labor or parts costs, are fully paid.
If payment is not received within the specified invoice period, Camelo reserves the right to charge daily storage fees until the balance is settled and the vehicle is collected.
6. Non-Refundability, Reservations, and Project Finality
The Client acknowledges that custom van conversions require upfront procurement of materials and the reservation of limited production capacity.
- Non-Refundable Payments: Deposits and payments made toward materials, labor scheduling, and production slot reservations are non-refundable once the project has commenced.
- Project Acceptance: Acceptance of the completed vehicle, including taking possession of the vehicle, confirms that the Client acknowledges the completion of the agreed work.
- Material Procurement: Materials purchased for the Client’s specific build are custom allocated and may not be resold or reused for other projects.
- Completion of Obligations: Camelo’s contractual obligations conclude upon completion of the agreed build and delivery of the vehicle.
7. Termination of Services
Camelo reserves the right to suspend or terminate the project if the Client fails to meet payment obligations, violates the agreement terms, or engages in unreasonable or abusive behavior.
In such cases, payments already made may be retained to cover labor performed, materials purchased, and administrative costs.
